چکیده
We study the effect of gas rarefaction and wall confinement on propagation vibroacoustic disturbances in a microchannel, generated by non-uniform (localized) time-harmonic oscillations one channel walls. The problem is studied entire range rates, combining continuum free-molecular limit analyses with direct simulation Monte Carlo calculations. Gas found to strongly increase signal decay rate, varying between slowly decaying propagating wave parallel walls at conditions, near-source confined acoustic perturbation regime. impact stationary scattering examined detail, replacing fully diffuse specular boundary reflections slightly reduce rate signal. frequency dependence force film calculated. Here, smooths transition resonance antiresonance behaviours observed A model set-up point delta source examined, for which closed-form expressions are hydrodynamic perturbations force. These assist rationalizing fundamental system response.

Robust PID Controller Design for a Micro-Actuator with Squeezed Gas Film Damping Effects
In this article the modeling aspects of an electrostatic microactuator (μ-A) with squeezed thin film damping effects are presented. The μ-A is composed of a microcapacitor whose one plate is clamped on the ground while the other plate is floating on the air. Its highly nonlinear dynamic model is linearized at various operating points. A robust PID-controller is designed with its parameters-tuni...
متن کاملNon-uniform two-dimensional electron gas in a magnetic field
Basic properties of a two-dimensional electron gas with spatially varying carrier concentration in external magnetic fields are reviewed. The two main problems: modification of galvanomagnetic coefficients due to random fluctuations of equilibrium concentration and the concentration gradient created by the Lorenz force in the Hall direction — are considered for weak, classically strong, and qua...
متن کاملA High Order Approximation of the Two Dimensional Acoustic Wave Equation with Discontinuous Coefficients
This paper concerns with the modeling and construction of a fifth order method for two dimensional acoustic wave equation in heterogenous media. The method is based on a standard discretization of the problem on smooth regions and a nonstandard method for nonsmooth regions. The construction of the nonstandard method is based on the special treatment of the interface using suitable jump conditio...
متن کاملSpin-charge coupling effects in a two-dimensional electron gas
In these lecture notes we study the disordered two-dimensional electron gas in the presence of Rashba spin-orbit coupling, by using the Keldysh nonequilibrium Green function technique. We describe the effects of the spin-orbit coupling in terms of a SU(2) gauge field and derive a generalized Boltzmann equation for the charge and spin distribution functions. We then apply the formalism to discus...
متن کاملDynamical exchange effects in a two - dimensional many - polaron gas
We calculate the influence of dynamical exchange effects on the response properties and the static properties of a two-dimensional many-polaron gas. These effects are not manifested in the random-phase approximation which is widely used in the analysis of the many-polaron system. Here they are taken into account by using a dielectric function derived in the time-dependent Hartree-Fock formalism...
